“a more comfortable, peaceful, and effective learning space”
I switched between schools often, especially in my first two years of high school. I went to four schools in total and I can truly say Applied Scholastics Online Academy was the most beneficial of all. It started with the amount of freedom I was given which came in many ways.
The flexible schedule was a very helpful big factor in my education this year since I have been traveling constantly. It made me feel more at ease because I knew that I would still be able to get my work done. The ability to be able to choose my own subjects and have a say in what I’m learning showed me how being interested in something will make you excited to learn about it. It also assured me that I will be able to retain the information more easily because I have an interest in it. These reasons allowed for a more comfortable, peaceful, and effective learning space.
Every class had its special traits which made it enjoyable. Combining English and History was very effective for me. It showed me that I can get a lot more done than I think. They are very compatible subjects and learning flowed very easily. Writing stories for English based on words and lessons from History interested me in the subject even more since I love writing and am always looking to grow my vocabulary skills. The math was delivered on a gradient with lots of repetition which I learned I thrive on. Throughout each class I was given problems from past lessons which refreshed my memory and assured I knew how to do them properly. When I did not, we were able to problem solve and use our available resources to figure it out.
I was able to grow and use my collaboration skills in French class since both my teacher and I were learning and growing our French skills together. All of this insured that I would certainly use what I have learned in my everyday life.
I would like to thank L. Ron Hubbard for developing Study Technology and making my learning experience easy and productive. I would also like to thank my teacher and all the staff for taking the time to teach me and for always making sure I was learning everything to the fullest. I would lastly like to thank my family for supporting me and understanding my needs when it comes to my education. My time at Applied Scholastics Online Academy has been incredible and truly a worthwhile experience.
