Description
by Carlynn McCormick, Illustrations by Tiber McCormick
What a gift we give children when we read stories, recite poems or sing songs to them. This may be the greatest tool a parent or teacher can use in helping children learn to read and write creatively. It cannot be stressed enough that reading is a precursor (comes before) writing. As soon as a child is ready to put words down on paper the “game of writing” should become part of that child’s daily routine. You can use the assignments, story starters, activity pages or other ideas in this book to get your child started. Once children catch the “writing-bug,” they will come up with their own wonderful and creative ideas!
