Description
Interest Level: Ages 12-14
This is a very popular course, as students in this age group don’t usually get the opportunity to perform animal dissection. In this excellent introduction to basic anatomy, the student uses flash cards to learn the internal and external parts of a frog, and he also learns some of the similarities of that anatomy to his own body. He gets to dissect an actual frog, while accurately labeling the parts and identifying their functions. This course does not need a fully equipped laboratory. It can be done in a home setting as long as all the materials have been acquired.
