This text uses Saxon’s highly successful “incremental” approach for teaching math.  Each new word or concept is fully defined when introduced.  Skill level is gradually raised by practice until the full subject is mastered.

The Best Edition:  John Saxon wrote the first and second edition of this book.  Others updated later editions and as more updates occurred each edition moved further and further away from the careful gradient Saxon envisioned and closer and closer to the controversial CORE standards.  We’ve reviewed each edition and have chosen the one that best represents Saxon’s vision of a clear and easy to follow guide to mathematics.
